School Magazine - What I learnt today.

What I learnt:

Today in the lesson, I learnt about considering my theme of my magazine and how i will design it using props and colours. I also learnt about the different locations I could use in my school by walking around and looking at why I could use it, and what I would change to make the image better. It helped me think of locations that could relate to the theme and the school magazine. The themes I could use are Halloween, Christmas, Easter, New Years Eve etc. Which ever them I choose to do, I would need to coordinate it by colour and props. For example, if i was to do Christmas, my whole colour theme would be based around Christmas colours such as green and red. To add to the theme, my design would be that there would be little elves or sants around the cover. I would try capture shots in the front of the school by reception, and hopefully have snow to add to the Christmas effect. The model I will have in my photo's, would be dressed in the full Beaverwood School uniform, and I would drape some tinsil around them to make the effect. When I take the photo's, I will try get the model to pose with text books in their hand, to give a good representation to the whole school magazine thing and show the intellectual skills of the students.

Preliminary Task - What I learnt this lesson.

What I learnt:
In this lesson we learnt about the preliminary task that we will be doing until Feburary Half Term. The first task that we have, is to make a school magazine front cover with a photgraph of a student in uniform and information that school children would be interested in reading. Im interested and intrigued to be doing this task, because it will allow me to use my magazine editing/creating skills and it will prepare me well enough for when we start on the music magazine. The music magazine cover is the second task we will be doing after the school magazine, we will be designing the front cover, and a double page spread. This task sounds fun because I have the choice of what music genre i want to work with, how I can lay everything out to blend together and make it interesting enough for the music genre choice lovers to be intrigued on what the magazine would be about.
